The Blaster is responsible for abrading surfaces of metal or hard composition objects to remove adhering scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt, and to impart a specified finish.
Responsibilities and Duties

Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built - up material from surfaces.

Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment.

Load and unload the blast cabinet.

Assist with painting or coating as needed.

Apply and remove non - skid materials as needed.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED certificate
-
Previous sandblasting experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have a current C-7 certification
-
Must have or be able to obtain a secret clearance
-
Experience working with or removing heavy metals a plus.

Familiarity with power tools
