Position Summary:
The Tax Senior Accountant manages complex tax engagements, reviews staff work, researches tax issues, and serves as a key client contact. The Tax Senior Accountant performs advanced tax preparation and advisory work, manages multiple client engagements, and supports the firm’s tax practice through technical expertise, staff development, and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, S‑corporations, partnerships, trusts, and nonprofits.
- Review accounting data and staff‑prepared tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct tax research on specific issues, transactions, and planning opportunities.
- Prepare tax projections and quarterly estimated tax calculations.
- Assist with tax provisions, accrual work papers, and responses to tax authority notices.
- Serve as a client contact for general questions, document requests, and tax guidance.
- Provide recommendations for business and process improvements.
- Maintain strong professional relationships and support firm service standards.
- Supervise, train, and mentor Staff Accountants; review their work and provide feedback.
- Share technical knowledge and help develop team capabilities.
- Stay current on tax law changes and industry developments.
- Support departmental goals, software initiatives, and administrative tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
