Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/CNA to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Support medical procedures such as medication administration, catheter care, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques under supervision or according to scope of practice
- Operate patient transfer methods safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to prevent injury
- Collaborate with healthcare teams by communicating patient status updates and assisting with care planning in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safe lifting practices
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification or equivalent state licensure; prior experience in long-term care or hospital settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities; familiarity with memory care and dementia care approaches is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) certification
- Experience working within EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively using proper techniques; physical stamina for long shifts required
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Critical care experience including ICU or trauma center background is advantageous but not mandatory
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing patient-centered care in diverse environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient clinics, or home settings
