Who You Are:
- Licensed Texas Attorney in good standing
- 5+ years of RECENT Family Law experience required
- Proven experience independently handling contested family law matters through final trial
- Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills
- Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication abilities
- Comfortable with family law pleadings and Westlaw Form Builder (online version)
- Able to independently manage a substantial caseload while maintaining exceptional client service
- Solutions-oriented professional with sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills
- Passionate about helping clients navigate difficult life transitions with compassion and professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of family law matters from consultation through final trial
- Conduct consultations, hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials
- Develop and execute case strategy for complex family law matters, including divorce, custody, enforcement, modification, and property division cases
- Maintain exceptional client relationships through communication, empathy, and transparency
- Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve outstanding client outcomes
- Support the firm's growth through excellent legal work, client satisfaction, and professional reputation
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients facing significant family law issues
- Additional duties as assigned
Bonus Points (Nice to Have):
- Existing referral network or professional relationships within the legal community
- Board Certification in Family Law or interest in pursuing Board Certification
- Prior interactions with Ramos Law Group or Mary E. Ramos
Location & Flexibility:
- Houston-based (Montrose), with the option to work out of our Woodlands office for the right candidate.
- Work from Home Wednesdays, subject to court appearances, mediations, and in-person consultations.
Compensation & Perks:
- Competitive base salary + 10% performance-based annual bonuses paid quarterly installments.
- 10% revenue share from any self-generated clients (excluding 3rd-party fees)

- Sign-On Bonus: This position includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus, paid out over the first year of employment.
Relocation Assistance Available:
Qualified candidates relocating to the Houston area may be eligible for up to $5,000 in relocation assistance, paid after 90 days of employment. The benefit is fully earned 24 months from your hire date, with a prorated amount repayable only if you leave before then, subject to a separate written agreement.
