Direct, manage, and supervise daily pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with professional, regulatory, and governmental standards.
Oversee staff performance by providing feedback, training, and professional development opportunities.
Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and process improvement initiatives.
Monitor operational and financial outcomes, integrating efforts into quality improvement systems.
Manage purchasing and inventory to ensure cost-effective, timely availability of medications and supplies.
Oversee and evaluate computer-based information and dispensing systems for accuracy and efficiency.
Provide patient-centered care, including counseling on prescriptions, immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications (if licensed).
Prepare operational reports and identify areas for improvement.
Participate in departmental orientation, on-the-job training, and quality assurance programs.
Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and hospital training programs.
