Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functional and ready for procedures
- Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including restorative, endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures
- Take high-quality dental x-rays and operate digital imaging equipment such as 3D scanners while adhering to radiation safety protocols
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort
- Monitor vital signs and assist in medical documentation when necessary for comprehensive patient care
- Follow strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques to maintain clinical confidentiality policies and ensure a sterile environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures (willing to train the right person)
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation
- Certification in dental x-ray technology and experience with dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards preferred but not necessary. Will train the right person
- Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control expertise, including aseptic technique and infection prevention management

Pay: $25.50 - $30.71 per hour
