Headquartered in Oxnard, CA, between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, our five-building campus spans over 50,000 square feet of specialized test facilities.
We are currently seeking Project Engineers to serve as the primary technical and program interface between Experior Laboratories and our customers. Project Engineers are principally responsible for the accurate and on-time execution of test projects in accordance with contractual requirements. Our tests span various engineering fields including mechanical, electrical, fiber optic, and aerospace.

Pay Range: $80,000 to $120,000 (Annual Salary). Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, execute, and be principally responsible for test projects including customer communication, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting. Projects include, but are not limited to a variety of mechanical, aerospace, electrical, and fiber optic hardware and components.
- Review and interpret customer-provided test plans, statements of work, standards, and other documentation to ensure test compliance and accuracy.
- Monitor and maintain project scope. Communicate project scope changes with customer and relay change information to internal team.
- Draft test plans, procedures, and work instructions based on customer requirements.
- Select and identify vendors, obtain quotations, and source required supplies and materials to support development or performance of test projects.
- Design and manage test setups (including fixturing, instrumentation, chambers, equipment, and data acquisition) to conduct tests to specified test conditions.
- Analyze and document test data to ensure the accuracy and consistency of test results according to internal documentation processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support laboratory operations and customer requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or another related field
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience managing and/or running test engineering projects is advantageous
- Demonstrated knowledge of product qualification and test engineering in the realm of environmental testing (such as thermal cycling, vibration, shock, thermal vacuum, pressure, electrical, and optical)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or other design software preferred.
- Desire to simultaneously work on a variety of projects across multiple engineering disciplines
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and implement industry standard test methodologies
- Must demonstrate a hands-on, self-directed work style and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to professionally interact with customers
- Must approach all projects with a high degree of conscientiousness, organization, and attention to accuracy and detail
- Must function smoothly within a collaborative team environment
- Knowledge of standard business software products (Microsoft Office, project management, etc.)
- US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident status required (due to access to US export-controlled information)
- Ability to obtain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) approval as an Employee Possessor.
- Must have valid driver’s license

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job:
Work is primarily performed in climate-controlled laboratory and office environments. Project Engineers regularly work in test laboratories supporting environmental and mechanical testing activities, as well as in standard office areas for project planning, data analysis, and reporting. Some duties may occasionally be performed in warehouse or non-climate-controlled areas when supporting test setup, equipment movement, or customer hardware handling. Depending on the specific laboratory and test requirements, use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear, may be required in designated areas.
