This position is responsible for assembling, testing and troubleshooting products of medium complexity.
Job Duties:

Assembles components to create saleable product.

Performs proof test on all units if needed and corrects deficiencies.

Makes jigs, as needed, to attach parts to the proof testing equipment.

Affixes tags and decals to products according to the work instructions in the tagging book.

Grinds and applies touch-up paint to areas in need of clean-up.

Builds and wires solenoid units, tests batteries, solders related parts.

Place and set auto latches for proper fit.

Tears down, analyzes and performs Inspect and Advise (I&A) operation for customer-owned units.

Maintains clean and safe work environment

Reports defective tools and equipment

Complies with all safety rules and regulations

Demonstrates the Caldwell company values at all times
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Five years of mechanical assembly experience
-
One year of forklift experience
-
Grinding tool experience is a plus
-
Experience operating proof test equipment a plus
-
Ability to assemble and trouble all Caldwell products at Levels I and II

Ability to use hand tools and voltage meters

Proven ability to read a tape measure

Proven ability to read and interpret prints

Computer proficiency sufficient to enter data into an ERP system and report job time
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk, twist or turn, and stoop or bend. The employee occasionally must push/pull, squat, crawl/kneel, climb, balance, drive (forklift), reach overhead, engage in repetitive hand/wrist motion and forearm rotation, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
