Dunn Bros Coffee (located inside of Festival Foods) is currently seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and highly organized individual for our open part-time assistant manager position at our Hugo, MN location.
This position is responsible for supporting the operation of the coffee house, including, but not limited to, personnel, sales, merchandising, inventory and ordering.
Specific responsibilities include:
1. Provide customer service through friendly, courteous, fair and honest treatment of all customers. Maintain service levels/standards on the sales floor.
2. Possess knowledge of the menu. Make and serve food/beverages as needed. Holiday and special events require extra effort and detailed communication/training for special order handling.
3. Provide training to all personnel.
4. Manage proper handling of balancing daily sales, cash drawers, safe balance, deposits and coin orders. Ability to handle all point-of-sale transactions including, but not limited to cash, check, credit/debit card, gift card, web order tenders, etc.
5. Review all incoming items to ensure vendor invoices are accurate, check quality, conditions, and counts/weights of incoming merchandise.
6. Ability to handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
7. Maintain image of coffee house by executing sales and service plans, maintaining sales floor presence, providing a clean and hassle free dining environment.
8. Follow all Company policies and procedures.
9. Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the Company’s dress policy. Contribute to a positive team environment.
10. Other duties as assigned.
The position of assistant manager – Dunn Bros Coffee requires standing, reaching, stopping, kneeling, bending, push and pull movements during the majority of a shift. Occasional lifting up to 50lbs is required. Assistant managers should be physically able to perform all jobs/tasks associated with all aspects of store operations.
Must be available Sunday through Saturday. Shift times vary from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The majority of tasks will be performed within the confines of the store, with some tasks being outdoors and in temperature controlled rooms within the store.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1 year of restaurant/coffee house experience, possess knowledge of state and federal food handling requirements, have a passion for food, a commitment to excellent customer service, a strong work ethic and be able to effectively manage a diverse workforce in a team oriented environment.
