Currently, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant with 1-2 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in using Electronic Clinical Works (ECW) software and possess strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting OBGYN physicians during examinations and procedures.
2. Taking patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
3. Preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are clean and organized.
4. Educating patients on procedures, medications, and post-care instructions.
5. Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
6. Communicating effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
7. Maintaining confidentiality of patient information and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
8. Collaborating with other medical assistants and staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
2. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
3. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in an OBGYN setting.
4. Proficiency in using Electronic Clinical Works (ECW) software.
5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
8. Understanding of medical terminology and procedures related to obstetrics and gynecology.
