Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Workers Compensation Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will support two attorneys in handling worker’s compensation cases representing the injured employee. You will be ensuring smooth communication between injured employees, healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and internal departments. Your organizational skills and administrative expertise will help streamline processes, maintain accurate records, and provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders. Duties
- Manage incoming calls via multi-line phone systems, providing courteous and professional assistance to injured employees, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information and workers' compensation records with meticulous attention to detail.
- Coordinate appointments, follow-up communications, and document management related to workers' compensation cases.
- Support office management tasks such as filing, organizing documents, proofreading correspondence, and maintaining filing systems for easy retrieval of information.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally while ensuring clear communication with clients and internal teams.
- Perform clerical duties including typing reports, proofreading documents for accuracy, managing office supplies, and supporting general administrative functions as needed.
Requirements
- Proven office experience with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer literacy essential for daily tasks.
- Excellent phone etiquette skills coupled with experience managing multi-line phone systems.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse clients and team members.
- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy; previous clerical or administrative experience preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal assistant or office management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
