Responsibilities:
As a Property Manager, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our properties thrive and our residents enjoy a safe and welcoming environment. You will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including:

Resident Relations: Interact with our diverse and vibrant community of residents, fostering a welcoming environment and addressing concerns in a professional manner. Help create a harmonious living experience for everyone.

Compliance and Inspections: Help ensure our properties adhere to all applicable rules and regulations. Conduct inspections to maintain continued occupancy and ensure all equipment and appliances are in proper working order.

Leasing and Vacancy Management: Lease units promptly and maintain waiting lists by our procedures. Minimize vacancy periods and provide seamless leasing experience for prospective residents.

Financial Management: Help manage departmental budgets, prepare reports, and ensure timely collection of resident receivables. Financial acumen will play a key role in helping maintain our properties' financial health.

Maintenance Coordination and Collaboration: Collaborate with our maintenance team to help coordinate maintenance work and inspections. Help establish priorities and ensure timely repairs to help keep our properties in top-notch condition.

Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with residents and community organizations. By referring residents to self-sufficiency programs, you'll empower them to thrive independently.
Essential Job Functions:

Financial Wizardry: Monitor budgets, process rent adjustments, and maintain financial records with precision and care.

Administrative Guru: Keep essential records and tenant files up to date, prepare reports, and order necessary supplies.

Resident Advocate: Be the go-to person for residents, especially our clients with extraordinary needs or concerns. Be the bridge that connects them to the appropriate resources. Help promote and advocate for amicable tenant relations.

Team Leadership: Help supervise and mentor administrative and maintenance personnel to achieve excellence and growth.

The annual salary rate for this position starts at Paygrade 15_1 ($19.12 per hour). The salary offer will be contingent on experience, qualifications, and certifications.

Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
-
Associate's degree in business administration, social science area, or closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
At least two years experience in customer service or roles involving direct interaction with the public.
-
Experience in property management and experience involving public contact preferred.
-
Previous experience in property management or a related field is a plus, but we're also open to enthusiastic newcomers with comparable experience and or/training!

Must obtain certification as a Public Housing Manager.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various tasks with finesse.

Excellent communication skills and a passion for building relationships with residents and the community.

Problem-solving prowess to tackle challenges head-on and find innovative solutions.
