Full-time or part-time overnight staff members for a rewarding position caring for children in their temporary home. We are a 24-hour facility and require staff to remain awake during their shift. Scheduling for this shift will be overnight hours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, GSMYC operates a General Residential Operation-Multiple Services with the maximum number served at 16 boys and girls, although two beds are kept open for emergencies. Direct Care Staff members are responsible for the overall safety and well-being of the children in our care.
The children range in age from 2 to 17 and have been removed from what they know as home due to abuse and neglect. Direct Care Staff duties include teaching life skills, modeling positive behavior, engaging children in educational and recreational activities, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and ensuring each child's safety throughout each shift.
