Job Overview
Join our team as a Route Delivery Driver at our Ruston, Louisiana distribution center. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering Borden brand Milk and Dairy products to schools and local businesses. You will operate a Class 6 (Non-CDL) or Class 7 (CDL) refrigerated box truck, managing a dedicated daily route. This is a local position, meaning you will be home every night with steady, predictable hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport and unload milk products into school cafeterias and local businesses.
- Load and unload products using appropriate equipment ensuring product integrity and safety.
- Drive assigned route efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues and ensure the cargo refrigeration unit is maintaining proper food safety temperatures.
- Act as the face of our company, providing professional and friendly service to school staff and receiving managers.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, invoices, load details, and vehicle logs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience of at least 1 year as a delivery driver or in a similar truck driving role with a strong understanding of route driving logistics.
- A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required, but a CDL Class B is Highly Preferred or a Class D Chauffeurs license is required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Physical capability to handle loading/unloading tasks and multiple deliveries each day.
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
