Join our dynamic groundskeeping team as a Greenskeeper / Mechanic, where your expertise will help maintain pristine golf course conditions and ensure all grounds equipment operates smoothly. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, irrigation systems, and power tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate company vehicles and grounds maintenance machinery safely and efficiently across various terrains.
- Manage irrigation systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain healthy turf and landscape areas.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control to uphold high standards of course aesthetics.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely during groundskeeping activities while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with athletic field groundskeeping tasks to ensure safe playing surfaces for sports activities.
- Perform equipment inspections, routine servicing, cleaning, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Handle manual labor tasks involving heavy lifting and ground preparation for landscaping projects or repairs.
- Apply pesticides responsibly following safety guidelines for pest management on golf course turf and landscaped areas.
- Support gardening efforts by planting new flora or replacing damaged vegetation to enhance the course’s visual appeal.
- Welding skills are a plus.
- Small engine knowledge.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in golf course groundskeeping or athletic field maintenance with knowledge of landscape care practices.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to repair and maintain lawn care equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping machinery.
- Familiarity with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as chainsaws safely while following power tool safety standards.
- Knowledge of pesticide management practices in accordance with safety regulations.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles or similar equipment preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to grounds maintenance challenges.
