We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Event Setup Assistant to join our dynamic events team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing event spaces, ensuring all setup requirements are met efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging furniture, decorations, and technical equipment
- Ensure all event materials and supplies are prepared and transported to the venue in a timely manner
- Collaborate with event coordinators to understand specific setup requirements and execute them precisely
- Conduct site inspections prior to events to confirm readiness and identify any potential issues
- Operate tools and equipment safely during setup activities, adhering to safety protocols
- Support technical teams with audiovisual equipment installation and testing as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and equipment before, during, and after events
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently
- Assist in troubleshooting on-site issues promptly to minimize disruptions
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies during setup procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in event setup, hospitality, or related roles is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects safely
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or early mornings as required by event schedules
- Basic knowledge of audiovisual equipment and technical setups is a plus
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality
