Position: Mechanic Assistant/Warehouse Assistant
Location: 3005 John Deere Road - Toano, VA 23168
Schedule: M-F, Day Shift
Pay Range: $18 - $21/hour (Depending on Qualifications/Experience)
As a Mechanic/Warehouse Assistant at The Drying Company, you will perform light mechanical work and upkeep, as well as assistance with a variety of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be someone with basic mechanical knowledge who wants to learn more OR someone with expert knowledge who is perhaps seeking part-time employment to supplement partial retirement. What You’ll Do as a Mechanic/Warehouse Assistant:
- Light mechanical work and routine maintenance on our fleet vehicles and box trucks
- Tool and equipment cleaning, upkeep, and inventory
- Clean and organize the work area and warehouse area
- Assist with storing, pulling, and organizing items in our warehouse
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
What We’re Looking for in a Mechanic/Warehouse Assistant:
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding
- Warehouse experience a plus
- Active listening skills and the ability to follow directions carefully and accurately
- Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to lift 75 pounds independently
- Strong work ethic and integrity
- Valid driver’s license and CLEAN driving record REQUIRED for insurance approval

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
