American Cable & Telephone (ACT) is seeking an experienced HDD laborer for fiber optic and coax replacement projects throughout Northern Illinois.
his is steady, local work — primarily in the west and north suburbs of Chicago.
If you can confidently run a drill and lead your crew without being micromanaged, we want to talk.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with installation of underground utilities including fiber optic and coax systems
- Work alongside operators on directional drilling (HDD), trenching, and plowing crews
- Perform general labor duties: digging, hand tools, job site setup/cleanup
- Support safe excavation practices and utility locating efforts
