Schedule: Night Shift (Typically 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM, On-Call as Needed)
Job Summary
Lightning Collateral Recovery is seeking a motivated, professional, and safety-focused Night Auto Repossession Agent to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well independently, has excellent situational awareness, and can professionally recover collateral while maintaining compliance with all state and federal laws.
This is not a towing-only position. Agents are responsible for locating, recovering, documenting, and transporting vehicles for banks, credit unions, finance companies, and fleet management companies.
Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual with a strong work ethic and professional attitude.
Responsibilities
- Locate assigned vehicles using recovery software, LPR technology, GPS information, skip tracing, and investigative techniques.
- Safely repossess collateral without causing a breach of the peace.
- Properly secure vehicles using wheel lift equipment and towing accessories.
- Complete required photographs and condition reports.
- Document every assignment accurately within company software.
- Communicate professionally with office staff, clients, law enforcement, and vehicle owners.
- Follow all compliance requirements regarding repossession laws.
- Perform nightly inspections of assigned truck and equipment.
- Maintain company-issued equipment and vehicles.
- Report accidents, damages, or incidents immediately.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Work efficiently while meeting company productivity goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 23 years old.
- Valid Texas Driver License with clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background screening.
- Ability to pass drug screening.
- Must be able to work overnight hours.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic smartphone and tablet skills.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

- Previous repossession experience
- Tow truck experience
- Wheel lift experience
- Commercial driving experience
- Skip tracing experience
- LPR (License Plate Recognition) experience
- Mechanical knowledge
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Physical Requirements

Pay: $700.00 - $2,000.00 per week
