Automotive Technician – Tires, Maintenance & General Repair
Aspen Tire and Auto | Wilmington, NC
Base Pay: $18–$25 per hour, plus performance bonuses up to an additional $10 per hour
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | No Nights or Weekends
Aspen Tire and Auto is a locally owned and operated automotive repair shop that has served the Wilmington community for more than 25 years. We are looking for an experienced, dependable Automotive Technician to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded technician who is comfortable performing tires, preventive maintenance, inspections, and general automotive repair. Tire and maintenance work are important parts of this position—not occasional responsibilities—but this is not an entry-level lube technician role.
The ideal candidate will be able to perform thorough vehicle inspections, identify needed repairs based on the vehicle’s actual condition, diagnose common customer concerns, and complete approved repairs such as brakes, steering and suspension work, and alignments.
We operate in a busy, primarily appointment-based environment and service approximately 40 vehicles per day. Our team currently includes five technicians, and we have low employee turnover. Positions at Aspen do not become available often. We believe in taking care of our customers, providing quality service, and taking care of the employees who make that possible.

- Approximately 47 scheduled hours per week, including built-in overtime paid at 1.5 times the base hourly rate

Our performance-pay program provides meaningful additional earning potential for productive technicians. Individual bonus earnings vary based on performance, with successful technicians regularly earning additional hourly incentive pay.
