Overview
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Toddler Room Staff member, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for our youngest learners. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting toddlers’ developmental milestones through engaging activities, attentive supervision, and compassionate caregiving. You will work closely with families, fellow educators, and specialists to foster a positive learning atmosphere that promotes growth, curiosity, and joy. Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for toddlers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behaviors, and needs
- Follow all mandated reporting laws to document any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Support children with diapering, feeding, nap routines, and other basic care needs with patience and professionalism
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans that support each child's unique development goals
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure quick response in emergencies
- Classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and social interactions among toddlers
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety regulations
- Previous caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting that demonstrate patience and nurturing abilities
