Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of bakery operations, including food preparation, baking, and presentation to ensure top-quality products.
- Supervise bakery staff, providing training, coaching, and development to foster a motivated and skilled team.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the bakery area.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems; manage shift schedules and coordinate team coverage during busy hours.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze profit and loss reports, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with other restaurant departments to support catering events, special promotions, or seasonal offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or bakery management within quick service or fast food restaurant environments.
- Strong background in managing hospitality teams with supervisory experience in food service management.
- Familiarity with POS systems ; experience with cash handling and shift management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures essential for maintaining high-quality products.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster a positive team environment.
- Previous experience in restaurant management, including budgeting, inventory control, and profit analysis.
- Hospitality management background with fine dining or casual dining experience preferred; catering or banquet experience is a plus.
