Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager to lead and oversee daily operations at our retail location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management principles. The Branch Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency, fostering a positive team environment, and achieving business objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of employee engagement and productivity.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory control, and POS (Point of Sale) system management.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Manage inventory levels through purchasing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and stock rotation to optimize product availability.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, policies, and updates; facilitate ongoing training and development initiatives.
- Monitor financial performance by managing payroll, budgeting, sales reports, and retail math calculations; ensure compliance with company policies.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Coordinate marketing efforts within the store to attract new customers and promote ongoing promotions or events.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations as well as company policies across all store activities. Skills:
- Proven management experience within a retail environment with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Proficiency with POS systems, retail math, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory management software.
- Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, training & development, recruiting, and team leadership.
- Sound knowledge of retail sales techniques, merchandising strategies, pricing policies, and marketing fundamentals.
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with cash handling procedures, cashiering operations, and retail store management.
- Competence in budgeting processes along with administrative experience related to store operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities such as stock control, purchasing decisions, shift management, and promotional activities.
