The Assistant Manager is a crucial position responsible for ensuring smooth operation during their shift. They are in charge of coaching and developing the staff, managing customer service, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the restaurant. The Assistant Manager is a crucial role in collaboration with the General Manager responsibilities of the cafe.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the restaurant day to day
- Ensure that all food items are prepared and served according to Pickleman’s standards
- Ensure that the restaurant is well-stocked and all equipment is working correctly
- Ensure all staff is operating with efficiency and productivity during the entirety of their shift
- Ensure all managerial expectations are consistently being met within the leadership team
- Assist the General Manager in Inventory and Labor Control
- Assist the General Manager with staff training and ongoing development
Qualifications:
- A SafeServe certification is required for this role
- Should be a great communicator and leader who can motivate and direct their team effectively
- Should be able to work well under pressure, multitask, and make quick decisions while maintaining a positive attitude
Above all, the Assistant Manager Position should have a passion for providing excellent customer service and be willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
If you are interested, you should have prior experience working in the food service industry, excellent time-management skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
