In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and presentation throughout the dog play areas, public areas, and hotel facilities while ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our canine guests. This position also includes actively supervising and exercising dogs through regular walks in both the large and small play parks, as well as preparing and serving all scheduled meals. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of dog play areas, guest rooms, bathrooms, floors, furniture, fixtures, and hotel facilities, ensuring all areas meet company standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Handle various cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, mops, and cleaning cloths to maintain spotless environments.
- Safely manage chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company safety protocols.
- Conduct floor care procedures including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Assist with cleaning public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other shared spaces to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Walk and supervise dogs throughout the day in both the large and small play parks, ensuring they receive regular exercise, enrichment, and safe social interaction.
- Prepare, portion, and serve all scheduled dog meals, including the midday (noon) feeding and evening feeding, while following each dog's individual dietary instructions.
- Monitor dogs during walks and feeding times, reporting any health concerns, behavioral changes, or safety issues to management.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary, ensuring the safety of both guests and dogs at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning environment is preferred.
- Experience working with dogs, such as in a boarding facility, daycare, kennel, veterinary clinic, or pet care environment, is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques and equipment handling is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and safety protocols ensures safe and effective cleaning practices.
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members alike.
- Comfortable handling dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments in a safe and confident manner.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and walking dogs throughout the day.
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality settings is a plus.
