Salary Ranges are: Sign/Marking Tech 1 - $19.82 to $32.28
Sign/Marking Tech 2 - $21.85 to $35.58
Sign/Marking Tech 3 - $24.09 to $39.23/hr.
Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Traffic Manager, fabricates, installs, inspects, and repairs traffic control signs and markings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in painting, signs, or construction.
- Must possess, or ability to obtain within sixty days of employment, and maintain a New Mexico CDL-B driver’s license.
- Must possess, or ability to obtain within six months of employment, and maintain an IMSA or ATSSA Work Zone Certification Level I.
- Successful completion of the pre-employment physical exam prior to commencing work.
- Successful completion of mandatory drug screening and subsequent random drug and alcohol screenings.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for Sign/Marking Technician 2:
- Three years’ experience in traffic operations and operating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical or power equipment such as compressors, paint guns and post drivers.
- Must possess, or ability to obtain within six months of employment, and maintain an IMSA or ATSSA Signs and Marking Specialist Level I, Vehicle Mounted Aerial Lift, and Forklift Certificate.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for Sign/Marking Technician 3:
- Four years’ experience in traffic operations and operating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical or power equipment such as compressors, paint guns and post drivers.
- Must possess, or ability to obtain within six months of employment, and maintain an IMSA or ATSSA Signs and Marking Specialist Level II.
Preferred Qualifications for Sign/Marking Technician 3:
- One-year traffic operations lead technician capacity.
- Familiarity with Flexi Professional Sign Making Software.
- IMSA Signs and Marking Certification Level III.
