Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Small Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of small to heavy equipment to support construction projects, ensuring efficient and safe site operations. Your expertise in mechanical systems and equipment handling will be essential in maintaining productivity and safety standards on-site. Responsibilities
- Operate small and heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, cold planners, graders, compactors to perform various construction tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist in site preparation, grading, excavation, , and other construction activities by skillfully handling machinery.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment operation hours, maintenance activities, and site reports.
- Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites by moving materials and assisting with logistical tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, or horizontal drilling machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Valid drivers license
- Construction site experience with familiarity in paving, grading, excavation, or related activities.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $36.51 - $45.93 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
