Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior R&D Engineer – Quick Disconnect Couplings (QDC) to join our Research & Development team supporting innovative liquid cooling technologies for next-generation Data Centers. This role is responsible for leading research, prototype development, laboratory testing, and technology validation for Quick Disconnect Coupling (QDC) products used in advanced fluid conveyance systems.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical engineering background with experience in product development, prototyping, laboratory testing, fluid systems, connectors, couplings, or thermal management products. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that will shape the future of AI and data center cooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead R&D work packages supporting Quick Disconnect Coupling (QDC) technology development.
- Design, develop, prototype, and evaluate new coupling concepts and fluid conveyance technologies.
- Plan and execute laboratory experiments, validation testing, and engineering investigations.
- Develop prototypes and coordinate testing activities including pressure, leak, sealing, cleanliness, and performance evaluations.
- Analyze test data and provide technical recommendations based on engineering evidence.
- Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Test Labs, and Suppliers throughout the technology development process.
- Support concept maturation for future New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.
- Identify technical risks, product improvement opportunities, and potential intellectual property (IP).
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Product Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Research & Development, Product Development, Mechanical Design, or Engineering.
- Experience developing mechanical products through prototyping, testing, and validation.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and engineering documentation.
- Experience planning and executing laboratory testing and analyzing engineering data.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
