At the Crisis Center of Comal County (CCCC), we believe in walking alongside survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness with compassion, dignity, and hope. We are seeking a servant-minded Legal Case Manager who believes in finding ways to say “yes” to clients, supporting a trauma-informed system of care, and helping individuals achieve safety, stability, and long-term success.
The Legal Case Manager oversees the assessment and successful completion of client goals both within a DV/SA/Homeless shelter environment and with non-residential clients. This role serves as an advocate for clients at all times, providing crisis intervention, intake support, legal advocacy, and direct care in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate is a confident problem-solver, committed to professional growth, collaboration, and delivering a warm transition for every client.
You will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive, trauma-informed service delivery model, providing legal support for survivors of sexual assault and strangulation crimes, and walking with residential and non-residential clients throughout their healing journey while maintaining healthy boundaries.
Provide unbiased advocacy for all clients across all agency departments.
Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, overnight, and holidays.
Serve as part of the on-call team with immediate and supportive crisis response.
Create a safe, welcoming environment for crisis callers; consult with supervisors for referred and denied services.
Direct safety planning, family violence education, and emergency transportation arrangements.
Manage intake processes and review Client Needs Assessments with clients.
Accompany sexual assault victims to court, law enforcement agencies, and related appointments.
Provide ongoing crisis intervention, support, transportation coordination, house meetings, chore assignments, and shelter orientation for new residents.
Monitor and evaluate case management plans, modifying as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
Conduct groups, classes, and support sessions in rotation with other case managers.
Maintain professional relationships with community providers and build a resource manual.
Direct and support Case-Aides with daily and weekly client goals.
Assist in shelter operations, scheduling, group meeting coordination, and supply organization.
Provide timely and accurate documentation for all client files and forms.
Attend staff and case review meetings regularly.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Hospital/Law enforcement accompaniment
Victim Impact Panels and Victim Impact Statements
Serve as a liaison with law enforcement, District Attorney’s Office, judges, Legal Aid, and other service providers.
Maintain accurate case management records and database information.
Assist with required reporting.
Develop and implement case management logs and documentation.
Encourage support for CCCC’s mission, vision, and values.
Identify and collect contact information for agency use.
Maintain confidentiality.
Assist with fundraising activities and community events as needed.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field preferred.
Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness.
Excellent reading, writing, communication, and computer skills.
Knowledge of community resources and referrals.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
1–2 years’ experience as a case manager required.
Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Training may include suicide, substance abuse, sexual abuse, child abuse, domestic violence, chemical dependency, etc.
Valid driver’s license and insured personal vehicle required.
Successful background check required.
Frequent prolonged standing, walking, and telephone contact.
Occasional sitting, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Frequent exposure to communicable diseases.
Occasional exposure to irritating or caustic substances.
Possible interaction with clients who have addiction or psychiatric disorders, or who may be hostile or angry.
