GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Responsible for the accurate and timely fulfillment of packing product from the warehouse shelves, sorting items and making sure all products on the order requests are ready to be packed. Warehouse packers are also responsible to ensure all products on the order request are free from damage, verified, counted, and packaged for order shipment.
Shift Available: Monday-Friday 10a-6:30p
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse Packer I
- Pack product to maximize box space to reduce shipping costs while maintaining packaging integrity
- Mark and label finished packages correctly to insure customer orders are free of potential shipping errors
- Ensure quality control standards and practices are occurring (recording errors, inspect parts for damage, correct shortages, wrong parts, and using QC Forms)
- Meet and exceed daily productivity and quality standards
- Record daily productivity on progress control boards per lean philosophy
- Responsible to help maintain cleanliness and 5S standards at packing stations
- Must be willing to be cross-trained in other areas in the warehouse as needed
- Must perform within the company safety program and polices
Warehouse Packer II
Perform quality audits independently and resolve minor issues.
Suggest improvements to packaging efficiency and quality control.
Assist in troubleshooting packaging errors or missing items.
Maintain a high accuracy rate with minimal supervision.
Provide feedback to Level I employees on packaging best practices.
Warehouse Packer III
Mentor Level I and Level II employees.
Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance packaging and quality control.
Serve as the go-to expert for packaging and quality assurance issues.
Ensure compliance with all company packaging and shipping standards.
Collaborate with other departments (picking, inventory, receiving) for efficiency
EXPERIENCE:
Warehouse Packer I
0-1 year of experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or packaging role.
Experience handling basic packaging materials (boxes, tape, packing materials).
Exposure to quality control checks but limited independent decision-making.
Warehouse Packer II
2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
Prior experience handling quality control responsibilities.
Ability to train entry-level employees on proper packaging techniques.
Warehouse Packer III
5+ years of experience in warehouse/fulfillment operations.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience in packaging or quality control.
Experience with process improvement and efficiency optimization.
EXPERTISE
Warehouse Packer I
Basic understanding of packaging procedures and materials.
Ability to follow work instructions and quality control processes.
Familiarity with measuring tools for determining box dimensions.
Basic knowledge of order fulfillment processes.
Warehouse Packer II
Proficiency in packaging and quality control processes.
Ability to audit production sheets and identify discrepancies.
Knowledge of shipping procedures and order fulfillment logistics.
Strong attention to detail in part verification and documentation.
Warehouse Packer III
In-depth understanding of packaging logistics and quality assurance.
Ability to lead and train a team in packaging and quality control.
Advanced problem-solving skills for order discrepancies.
Proficiency in inventory management software and reporting tools.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.

- Base pay will be $18.00/hour plus a potential quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
- Actual pay determined by experience level, skills, qualifications & work location
- This position is located onsite in Belvidere, IL
