Proficiently install server and network equipment in data center environments, ensuring meticulous organization
- Assemble various Server and Data Storage machines, including motherboards, processors, memory, drives, fans, cables, and other components
- Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues proactively and efficiently
- Establish effective communication channels with team members for assistance and task coordination
- Demonstrate self-direction and the ability to independently drive tasks to completion
- Precisely tackle intricate tasks with diligence
- Be open to occasional travel, including international destinations, as required
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to integrate server and network equipment
- Execute routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates and equipment replacement, to maintain optimal data center performance
- Contribute to developing and improving standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data center operations
- Conduct data analysis and root cause analysis when required.
- Assist in planning and executing data center expansion projects, including the installation of new hardware and infrastructure
- Maintain detailed records of equipment installations, repairs, and upgrades
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in data center technology and propose innovative solutions for enhanced efficiency and reliability
- Cultivate a culture of safety, reliability, and quality within the data center team

Preferred prior experience in data centers or Internet Service Providers (ISPs)
- Valuable proficiency in server hardware components
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage copper, fiber, and power cables within racks
- Valid driver's license and capability to operate a personal vehicle
- Prior understanding and familiarity with Linux
- Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols, with a background in HVAC or Electrical being preferred
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos, with the capacity to ask clarifying questions for understanding
- Proficiency in responding to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors
- Expertise in laying out, pulling, dressing, and terminating fiber and copper communications cabling
- Experience diagnosing and repairing IT hardware, servers, network switches, and structured cabling
- Desire and experience working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Understanding of data center infrastructure and/or experience in business operations
