About the Role
This is a baking position in a fast-paced environment. Much of the work involves baking off and preparing larger batches of items to meet daily needs.
While creativity may come over time, the heart of this role is consistency, efficiency, and reliability. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our pastry case is fully stocked and ready for service each morning.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Baking off daily pastry items (croissants, muffins, scones, cookies, etc.)
- Following a structured production list to meet daily volume needs
- Maintaining consistent product quality and presentation
- Setting up and organizing for efficient workflow during early morning shifts
- Keeping your station clean and organized while following all food safety and sanitation standards
- Communicating with the chef about production needs, quantities, and any issues
- Assisting with basic prep and supporting overall pastry production as needed

What We’re Looking For
- Strong reliability and punctuality — consistent attendance is essential for this role
- Ability to consistently work a 4:00 AM shift
- Someone comfortable working independently during early hours
- Organized, focused, and able to follow direction and complete tasks on schedule
- Comfortable with repetitive, high-volume production work
- A steady, dependable team member who takes pride in consistency

Schedule & Physical Requirements
- 4:00 AM start time is required
- Weekend availability is required
- This role has limited flexibility and requires consistent availability
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation is required
Location
We are currently located in Poway.
Please note that our bakery plans to relocate to the Bay Park area in the future. This position will transition to the Bay Park location once the move occurs, so please consider both the current and future commute when applying.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
