American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring a GA or compact license and at least 2 years of endoscopy experience.
-
Work in a busy hospital endoscopy unit averaging 45-65 cases daily across 8 procedure rooms
-
Care for both inpatient and outpatient populations
-
Perform a wide range of GI procedures including EGDs, colonoscopies, and complex interventional cases such as ERCP, EUS, POEMs, and cystgastrostomy
-
Unit includes in-house respiratory therapists who assist with bronchoscopies and GI techs who support procedures
-
All cases supported by an in-house anesthesia group

Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed

Epic EMR experience required
-
Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration

BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Epic charting system experience required
-
Teaching hospital experience preferred
-
Community hospital experience preferred
-
Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
-
Skilled in administering and monitoring conscious sedation
-
Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
-
Experience with specimen handling and labeling
-
Experience circulating for bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD procedures
-
Experience in pre/post procedure and post-procedure conscious sedation recovery settings
-
Provide direct patient care in a high-volume endoscopy unit supporting both basic and complex interventional GI procedures

Collaborate with in-house respiratory therapy, GI tech, and anesthesia teams
-
Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, and all RTO must be finalized at time of consideration
-
No RTO or schedule change requests permitted after offer or during orientation week
-
Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)

If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested
-
If three major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered
-
