Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting.
- Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens, towels, and guest clothing with care and precision.
- Conduct routine floor care tasks including stripping, waxing, buffing floors to preserve their appearance and safety standards.
- Follow established protocols for waste disposal and replenish supplies like toiletries and cleaning products to enhance guest comfort.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment; report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Support the overall cleanliness initiatives of the team by assisting with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in housekeeping or custodial roles within hospitality settings or similar environments.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques including floor care (stripping, waxing), laundry processes, and general janitorial practices.
- Prior hotel experience or background in hospitality is highly desirable for understanding guest service standards.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure efficient operations.
- Experience managing housekeeping tasks or supervising staff is a plus but not required.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining a positive attitude; strong organizational skills are essential.
