Position Summary
York Community Resource Center - Tec Centro York is seeking an experienced Director of Development & Programs to join our executive leadership team. This position provides strategic leadership and oversight of educational and workforce development programs while leading community engagement, marketing, outreach, sponsorship development, and strategic partnerships.
The Director of Development & Programs will supervise program staff, monitor student outcomes, strengthen employer and community relationships, increase organizational visibility, and support the continued growth and sustainability of Tec Centro York throughout York County.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership
- Provide leadership and oversight of educational and workforce development programs.
- Monitor enrollment, retention, completion, credential attainment, and employment outcomes.
- Utilize data, performance metrics, and reporting to evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure program compliance with organizational, funding, and partner requirements.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on strategic planning, program expansion, and organizational initiatives.
Staff Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and support program staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development efforts.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and mission-driven team culture.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, community organizations, educational institutions, and strategic partners.
- Develop partnerships that support student recruitment, training opportunities, job placement, and community impact.
- Represent Tec Centro York at community meetings, events, and networking opportunities.
Marketing & Outreach
- Oversee organizational marketing and communications efforts.
- Manage website content, newsletters, social media, promotional materials, and public outreach campaigns.
- Support student recruitment and community awareness initiatives.
- Coordinate outreach events, open houses, graduations, job fairs, and community engagement activities.
Development & Sponsorship Support
- Assist with sponsorship cultivation and community partnership development.
- Support fundraising events and organizational visibility efforts.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on donor engagement, sponsorship opportunities, and external relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, education, workforce development, communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit management, education, workforce development, community engagement, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Experience managing programs, budgets, performance metrics, and outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Experience with workforce development, adult education, community-based programming, or nonprofit organizations preferred.
