Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have wet-spray coating experience in the manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and chemical rinse as necessary.
- Utilizing different paint techniques based on the nature of the surface, including texturing.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate application of paint thickness and texturing.
- Safely and properly dispose of chemical waste.
- Polishing metallic (stainless steel) surfaces.
- Operate forklifts to move materials and finished products safely within the facility.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and painting tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on painted surfaces to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
Job Specifications
- 2 - 5 years industrial painting experience
- 1 - 3 years wet-spray coating experience
- Experience paint a variety of surface types in industrial application
- High School Diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to successfully complete the OSHA Medical Exam and Full-Mask Respirator fitting prior to employment.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
- Ability to work with various solvents and abrasives.
- Ability to operate, maneuver and/or steer equipment and machinery requiring simple but continuous adjustments such as forklift, tape measure, and hand power tools.
- Ability to exert required physical effort to perform moderate to heavy work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to recognize and identify degrees of similarities or differences between characteristics of colors, shapes, sounds, odors and textures associated with job-related objects, materials and tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.33 - $22.00 per hour
