American Traveler is hiring a Multispecialty Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer with experience in general, OB/fetal, vascular, and echo ultrasound imaging for a short-term acute care facility.

Short term acute care hospital with 49 staffed beds and Level IV Trauma Center designation

Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
-
On-call required 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM Monday through Friday and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday

Weekend on-call coverage required

Patient ratio of 8:1

No floating between units required for this role, though travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities within the health system

Uses GE ultrasound equipment and PACS system

Epic EMR experience required

Minimum of 1 year of experience required

ARDMS, ARDMS VT, CCI, or RDCS certification required; license required if applicable

Current BLS certification required

Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission

Experience with general ultrasound including abdominal aorta, appendix, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, and spleen
-
OB/GYN ultrasound experience across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester including amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, and fetal anatomy assessment

Vascular ultrasound experience including aorta, carotid, color flow, Doppler studies, duplex, upper/lower extremity arterial and venous studies, and renal artery duplex

Transvaginal and renal/pelvis ultrasound experience including bladder, hernia, ovaries, and uterus
-
Small parts ultrasound experience including breast, superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid
-
Adult echo, contrast echo, and echo stress treadmill experience required
-
Experience working with adult, pediatric, ICU, ED, and high-risk OB patient populations
-
Experience with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
-
Perform diagnostic imaging across multiple specialties including general ultrasound, OB/fetal, vascular, and cardiac echo studies
-
May assist with procedures such as paracentesis and ultrasound guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration

Experience with liver and renal transplant studies preferred
-
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated

Candidates within 50 miles of the facility may be accepted at a lower bill rate
