Unity Active is seeking organized, positive instructors to guide students through structured basketball sessions. In this role, you’ll help children learn fundamentals, practice teamwork, and enjoy the sport in a supportive setting. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, manages groups effectively, and brings enthusiasm to every practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead morning and afternoon sessions focusing on fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense
- Introduce fun skill games that reinforce learning and keep students engaged
- Support teamwork and confidence while maintaining a safe, organized environment
- Prepare minimal equipment following Unity Active’s efficient approach
- Communicate with families and school partners as needed
- Ensure safety and supervision throughout each session
Qualifications
- Experience working with children (school, camp, coaching, or enrichment)
- Strong communication and classroom‑management skills
- Knowledge of basketball fundamentals and ability to teach them clearly
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable leading groups independently
- Ability to follow Unity Active curriculum and weekly structure
Schedule & Compensation
- Part‑time, before‑school and after‑school hours
- 3–8 sessions per week depending on site availability
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Pay: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour
