Travel Cath Lab / EP Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.

Work in a cardiac catheterization lab with 3 procedure rooms performing diagnostic and interventional cases
Adult to geriatric patient population
Uses Epic (Cupid) for charting, plus Pyxis and SBAR systems
4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed, including throughout all areas of the Cath Lab
STEMI call required on weekdays and weekends
12-week assignment length

Minimum of 2 years experience as a Cath Lab Technologist in diagnostic and interventional procedures
Current BLS and ACLS certification required
CCI RCIS certification preferred
Epic charting system experience required
Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and cardiac stent placement
Skills in accurate patient monitoring, equipment set up, prepping access sites, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) preferred
Experience with TAVR, Watchman, IABP, Impella, and temporary pacemaker placement preferred
Fluoroscopy equipment and PACS experience preferred
License required if applicable
First-time travelers are accepted

Responsibilities include room circulator duties, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, hemodynamic monitoring, and equipment maintenance and inventory
Scrub color provided by the facility
Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
No RTO or schedule requests can be made after offer, during onsite, or during orientation week
If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested
If three major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
Local candidates accepted at the same rate
Former Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
Returning travelers who canceled or received a facility DNR must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
Compliance documents and onboarding items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
