We are seeking a dynamic and detail oriented Parts Coordinator to join our team, dedicated to ensuring the seamless management of automotive parts and accessories. In this vital role, you will oversee inventory control, parts sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationships to support our automotive service and manufacturing operations. Your expertise in supply chain management, logistics, and parts administration will drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels using inventory management systems and ERP platforms to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for sourcing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, negotiating pricing and delivery terms to secure the best value
- Oversee parts procurement processes, including purchase order creation, order tracking, and delivery scheduling through logistics and shipping & receiving operations
- Maintain accurate parts administration records, including data entry into CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and inventory control systems
- Collaborate with internal teams such as automotive diagnostics, auto body repair, and vehicle systems to fulfill parts requests promptly and accurately
- Conduct demand planning based on sales trends, manufacturing schedules, and customer needs to forecast future parts requirements
- Support warehouse management activities by organizing storage areas, managing shipping & receiving tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety standards such as forklift operation certifications
- Assist in sourcing hard-to-find parts by leveraging sourcing techniques and maintaining strong supplier relationships for efficient part sourcing
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management within automotive or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, OEM parts, and automotive service processes
- Hands on experience with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, procurement management tools, and order management systems
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, equipment repair logistics, and inventory control procedures
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation with suppliers and vendor management to optimize pricing and delivery terms
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive parts & accessories enhances understanding of product specifications and technical requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for data entry, reporting, and internal communication purposes
- Valid forklift certification preferred; experience with CMMS software advantageous
