Position Overview
Are you an experienced Federal HR professional looking for flexible, project-based work that fits around your schedule? One of our Federal Clients periodically experiences significant hiring surges and is seeking qualified HR Specialists who can provide remote staffing support during these peak workload periods.
Assignments may be available on a full-time, part-time, or as-needed basis depending on workload demands, seasonal surge times, and your availability. While surge periods are anticipated to occur during 4-6 week periods of time, actual work volume and duration may vary based on agency hiring needs. Larger periods of surge are currently expected from September – October and November – December.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys fast-paced staffing operations, can quickly integrate into established processes, and has the flexibility to provide temporary support during periods of increased hiring activity. Work is performed remotely and offers the opportunity to contribute meaningful support to the Agencies Service mission while maintaining scheduling flexibility.
HR Specialists will conduct high-volume qualifications analyses, adjudicate Veterans' Preference eligibility, review applicant records and prepare certificates. Successful candidates must be able to perform work accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with federal hiring regulations, agency policies, and quality standards.
Individuals may be engaged for short-term projects, recurring seasonal surges, or intermittent assignments throughout the year based on operational needs and performance. Opportunities for secondary assignments are available.
