JOB
Under close supervision, assists City staff in conducting various community recreation programs or specialty area programs; and performs related duties as assigned.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The following duties have been provided as examples of the essential types of work performed by positions within this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind work assignments as needed.

Assists and supports City staff or contract instructors in conducting a variety of community recreation programs or classes and/or specialty area programming such as adult or youth athletics, aquatics, after school, summer program, special programs or events including Leisure Square activities, or age appropriate activities including gymnastics and dance.

Assists in planning organized activities for children; may lead and oversee planned activities.

Keeps score at athletic programs.

Observes standard operating procedures and safety practices.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Enrolled in High School or High School graduate or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Service as a Junior Staff Volunteer is preferred, but not required.
