Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Busser/Food Runner to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this role, you will be the essential link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that guests experience seamless service and exceptional hospitality. Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout service hours
- Assist servers by delivering food orders promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Support the cleaning crew by maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and removing trash
- Handle manual lifting of food trays, dishes, and supplies using safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Restock service stations with necessary supplies such as utensils, napkins, and condiments to ensure smooth operations
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team using clear verbal cues and POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS when needed
- Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests with enthusiasm and addressing their needs promptly
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments, including food running and guest services
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards to ensure proper hygiene and sanitation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interaction
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order management
- Experience with cleaning, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in a busy restaurant setting
- Previous banquet or hospitality experience is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
