We are looking for a reliable and friendly Front Counter & Phone Associate to join our team at a fast-paced Chinese takeout restaurant. This role involves answering phones, assisting customers, handling transactions, resolving customer concerns, and helping prepare and pack orders to ensure a smooth and positive customer experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Communication
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and take accurate food orders.
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner at the counter.
- Address customer questions about menu items, pricing, and order status.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues calmly and efficiently.
Order Processing
- Enter customer orders accurately into the system.
- Confirm order details (items, quantities, special requests) with customers.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and correct order preparation.
Cash Handling & Checkout
- Process customer payments (cash, credit/debit cards, digital payments).
- Provide accurate change and receipts.
- Balance cash register at the start and end of shifts.
Order Packing & Preparation Support
- Assist with packing takeout orders correctly and neatly.
- Double-check that orders are complete before handing them to customers.
- Organize delivery and pickup orders for efficiency.
Workplace Maintenance
- Keep the front counter and work area clean and organized.
- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Restock supplies such as bags, utensils, napkins, and sauces as needed.
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
