Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator I to join our logistics team. The Shipping Coordinator I will be responsible for assisting in the shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders, and supporting the overall efficiency of the shipping department. This role is ideal for candidates who are organized, reliable, and eager to develop their skills in logistics and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in preparing shipping documents, labels, and packing lists accurately and efficiently
· Pack and label shipments according to established procedures and customer requirements
· Coordinate with carriers and couriers for timely pick-up and delivery of shipments
· Assist in receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents, and recording discrepancies as needed
· Support the resolution of shipping-related issues, including tracking shipments and handling customer inquiries
· Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies
· Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, including staging shipments for pick-up
· Assist in training new team members and supporting team members as needed
· Maintain certifications as needed
· All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Associate's degree or Vocational training in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
· 1-2 years of experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics coordination
· Basic knowledge of shipping software and ERP systems; familiarity with SAP or Oracle is advantageous
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipping documentation and inventory records
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
· Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and external partners
· Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds and operate warehouse equipment
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
· Manual dexterity and ability to handle tools and machinery controls.
· Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping may be required.
· Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions typical of a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
· Manufacturing/production floor environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machining fluids.
· Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

Work Status: Full Time – Work hours are Monday through Friday and depend on assigned shift. Flexibility to work additional hours when needed.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
