Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personal Injury Discovery Clerk to join our legal team. In this role, you will assist the attorney with the discovery process for personal injury cases, ensuring timely and accurate collection, review, and organization of case documents. Your proactive approach will support attorneys in building strong cases by maintaining records and facilitating efficient legal research.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorney with draft discovery responses, including responses to Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, Requests for Admission, and Requests for Production.
- Assist attorney to propound written discovery, including Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, Requests for Admission, and Requests for Production of Documents.
- Review, organize, and summarize medical records, incident reports, photographs, client records, and other case materials.
- Assist attorney with notices, declarations, meet-and-confer letters, discovery motions, and other court-related documents.
- Assist attorneys with discovery deadlines, case deadlines, and litigation calendar management.
- Draft persuasive and well-supported personal injury settlement demand letters for motor vehicle accident cases.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure all discovery materials are properly saved and updated in the case management system.
- Assist with depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of personal injury experience required
- Strong understanding of discovery procedures and practices
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Understanding of e-filing court documents.
Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
