Mr. Appliance of Greater Little Rock is hiring an Appliance Repair Technician (Appliance Service Professional) to diagnose and repair residential appliances while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
We're looking for someone with strong electrical troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills who enjoys working independently, solving different problems every day, and taking pride in doing the job right.
Appliance repair experience is a huge plus, but it isn't required. If you have relevant work experience in HVAC, apartment maintenance, automotive repair, electrical troubleshooting, equipment repair, or another hands-on technical field, we want to hear from you.
Pay & Schedule
- Average earnings after the first year: $59,155+
- Paid training period
- Commission-based compensation after training
- After training, your minimum earnings for any full work week will be no less than your paid-training weekly rate

What You'll Do
As an Appliance Repair Technician, you'll work directly with customers in their homes to diagnose appliance problems and provide professional repair solutions.
You'll:
- Diagnose and repair residential appliances
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems
- Read and understand wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
- Use a multimeter to diagnose electrical components and circuits
- Clearly explain problems, repair options, and estimates to customers
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently
- Order parts and manage materials
- Collect payment for completed work
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Provide professional, memorable customer service
What We're Looking For
Our strongest candidates are problem solvers first. You should be comfortable working with your hands, diagnosing problems systematically, and interacting with customers professionally.
You should have:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Experience in a hands-on repair or technical field
- Electrical troubleshooting experience including using wiring diagrams
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
- Proficiency using a multimeter
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Attention to detail and pride in your work
- Your own hand tools (specialty tools may be provided)
- Good time-management skills
- Dependability and professionalism
Experience in appliance repair, HVAC, apartment maintenance, automotive repair, electrical work, equipment repair, or a similar technical field is especially relevant.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Own basic hand tools, including a multimeter with an amperage clamp
- Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. and occasionally 100+ lbs.
- Previous experience in a repair-related field involving electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings
- Ability and willingness to attend and successfully complete ongoing training
1+ year of appliance repair experience is preferred, but not required. We will train the right candidate with the right technical foundation and attitude.
