We are seeking a Compassionate, Dependable, and Professional Caregiver to join our RCFE team. The Caregiver is responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living. (ADL's) ensuring resident safety, promoting dignity and independence, and supporting residents in accordance with California RCFE regulations and facility policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Assist with ambulation transfers and mobility as needed.
- Monitor residents for changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition and report concerns promptly to the Wellness Coordinator / Administrator
- Assist with meal service, hydration and feeding when required.
- Perform housekeeping duties related to resident care, including laundry, and maintaining a clean-living environment.
- Respond promptly to resident call systems and emergencies.
- Assist or encourage residents to participate in social engagements.
- Maintain residents' confidentiality and dignity at all times.
- Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other Caregivers, Medication Technicians, and Management staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous caregiving assisted living, memory care, or healthcare experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with the residents.
- Ability to pass a criminal background clearance and comply with RCFE requirements.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Must be reliable, compassionate, patient, and professional.
