We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our growing team. This individual will support government transportation agency program management. In this position, you will be responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of transportation-related projects that improve client agency performance. You will work closely with experienced project managers and diverse teams, gaining valuable skills and knowledge to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and meeting all stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with experienced project managers to develop comprehensive transportation project plans and schedules.
- Assist in monitoring project progress, tracking milestones, and identifying potential challenges.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among various stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships.
- Support resource allocation, ensuring the right expertise is assigned to specific project tasks.
- Contribute to accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and relevant records.
- Prepare status updates and reports for project stakeholders, highlighting achievements and potential solutions to challenges.
- Ensure adherence to established standards and expectations in all aspects of the project planning and delivery.
- Support financial tracking and budget management for transportation projects.
- Manage changes in project scope and communicate their impact on timelines and resources effectively.
- Participate in project meetings and workshops to contribute to project objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business, planning, public policy, or engineering
- Highly organized, demonstrating time management and communication skills, essential for coordinating projects effectively
- Detail-oriented, ensuring the highest level of accuracy in project documentation
- Strong problem-solving aptitude to support decision-making
- Some experience with project management tools and software, with a willingness to learn
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in the dynamic nature of transportation projects.
- Proficient with word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet tools
- Familiarity with transportation-related topics
- Demonstrated capability to coordinate complex projects with a wide-range of stakeholders
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices, with familiarity in project management tools and software
- Starting salary for this position depends on qualifications and experience
