ALBION launched a new concept flagship store (café, cosmetics retail, and beauty services) located in Abbot Kinney, Venice, and is currently seeking a facial specialist to bring this project to life and build a new store team in this location.
Job Overview
A Facial Specialist provides professional skincare services tailored to the client's needs, focusing on improving the health and appearance of the skin. This position involves performing a variety of facial treatments, skin assessments, and consultations to deliver exceptional skincare results. The specialist is also responsible for recommending skincare products, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring a clean and sanitary work environment. The ALBION facial is a transformative skincare experience that nurtures the skin and elevates well-being. Our unique treatment is a signature procedure where we perform shiatsu-style hand massage techniques with no extraction, harsh exfoliates, peeling applications, and mechanical implements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform few types of signature facials, including but not limited to hydrating facials and anti-aging treatments.
- Conduct skin analysis to determine client needs and suggest appropriate treatments.
- Use specialized tools and equipment (e.g., steamers).
- Apply skincare products such as cleansers, serums, and masks during treatments.
- Maintain client records, noting skin conditions and documenting treatments.
- Recommend aftercare products and provide personalized skincare routines for clients.
- Stay up-to-date with skincare trends, products, and technology.
- Sanitize all tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Educate clients on skincare techniques and best practices for maintaining healthy skin.
- Handle client inquiries and maintain a professional, welcoming environment.
- Assist in retail sales by recommending skincare products for purchase.
- Management of the facial team.
- Shift scheduling and management of sales and appointment.
- Planning and execution of strategies to acquire new and repeat customers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensed Esthetician or Facial Specialist (requirements vary by state/country).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in skincare or beauty industry (preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of skincare products, treatments, and skin physiology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform detailed skin analysis and customize treatments.
- Excellent customer service and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Ability to perform facial techniques by hand, without mechanical implements, is essential.
- Must be an English speaker. Knowledge of Japanese is welcome but not required.
- Experience working in a skincare salon or spa is welcome

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
